Which data relating to you do we process? And for what purposes?
The data that you send us in connection with your application is used by us to check your suitability for the position (or for other vacancies at our company, if applicable) and to complete the application process.
What is the lawful basis for processing?
Data processing is permitted because it is necessary for the conclusion of a contract (lawful basis under GDPR: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Should the data be needed after completion of the application process (e.g. for litigation purposes), it may be processed in particular to pursue legitimate interests (lawful basis GDPR: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). In such case, our interest lies in the establishment or defence of legal claims.
How long do we store personal data?
In the case of an unsuccessful application, the data will be deleted after six months at the latest. If you are offered a position as part of the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel information system.
Who is the data shared with?
Your applicant data will be reviewed by the personnel department after your application has been received. Suitable applications are forwarded internally to the person responsible for the respective vacancy. The next steps in the process are then agreed. As a rule, only those persons who need your data for the proper completion of our application process will have access to it within the company.
Where is the data processed?
The data is processed in a data centre in Switzerland. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the operator of the data centre in order to ensure that the processing is permissible. Switzerland has an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the decision of the EU Commission.
Your rights as the «data subject»
You have the right to be informed about which personal data relating to you is processed by us.
Please be aware that, if the request for information is not made in writing, we may require further proof that you are the person you claim to be.
In addition, you have the right to have your data rectified or erased.
Persons from the EU have the right to restrict processing in certain legal situations, as well as the right to object to processing within the scope of the law. The same applies for a right to data portability.
